Position: President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Concorp group.
I graduated from The University of Khartoum in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Degree (Economics and Social Studies) and started business activities immediately after graduation and continued self-employed in my own business ever since.
I am a founder member of three banks in Sudan.
I was a Member of Parliament from 2001 to 2004.
I established a number of charity institutions, operating clinics and schools in Uganda and Sudan.
I established Concorp International Ltd in Uganda in 1976. It is a construction company with offices in Sudan, UAE and Uganda. It was also operating in Saudi Arabia, USA, U.K, & India.
I ventured into oil business in 1991 and purchased, dismantled a 2000 BPD OIL REFINERY FROM Texas, USA and reinstalled it at Abu-Jabra in Western Sudan. It was the first private oil refinery in Sudan. It became operational in 1993 and it was sold to the Sudan government.
My success in the refinery business qualified me to negotiate and buy out Chevron Oil Company of Sudan in 1992. Eventually, my company Concorp Petroleum took over 42 million acres of concession rights with proven reserves of 1.3 Billion barrels of oil. In August 1993, Concorp Petroleum sold its concession rights and assets in Sudan.
Between 1997 and 1998, I started the construction of a new private oil refinery in Khartoum, Sudan. Eventually Concorp Khartoum Refinery (CKR) capacity 10,000 BPD became operational in March 1999, and it is the only licensed private oil refinery in Sudan up to date.
In 1999 I established Afcorp-Chad which constructed the longest bridge in Chad over the river Chari and is still operating as the biggest construction company in Chad in joint venture with Sneir Company.
In the year 2000, I signed an engineering, procurement, construction and management contract with government of Chad for USD 34.0 Million to develop the Sedigui Oil Field, north of Lake Chad, and build a 341 km pipeline to transport crude oil to Concorp N'djamena refinery that will process Sedigui crude for the local and export market.
I enabled Concorp Petroleum as distribution and marketing company to own petroleum depots and service stations all over Sudan.
